Yacht Chief Engineer
The Chief Engineer is responsible for the entire engine room department. He must organise and manage the engineers/electricians and oversee the safe and efficient operations of all the onboard systems.
Tasks:
– Maintenance of all mechanical and electrical operations of the yacht including engines, generators, air conditioning systems, electrical systems and water makers
– Managing refits and repairs
– Inventory of Engine room
– Expertise in finding parts pursuant to any repairs
– Maintaining a wide network of contractors
– Budgeting
