Yacht Chef
The Chef is a culinary trained professional and is responsible for the galley staff. The chef plays a very important role onboard a vessel. A professional chef will ensure that the guests are satisfied and that the crew is happy.
Tasks:
– Preparation of all crew and guest meals, making sure all dietary requirements are kept
– Organising the galley as well as maintaining safety and hygiene standards
– Training all galley staff
– Provisioning
– Orders, galley inventory
– Accounting and budgeting
– Coordination of the procurement of food items to the yacht
– Food safety and storage standards
– Menu planning
– Wine knowledge
– Creativity and extended knowledge of different cuisines
