Yacht First Officer / Chief Mate
The first officer is the second in command of the ship. Their main duties include the safety of the yacht and everyone onboard as well as overseeing all deck operations and maintenance.
Tasks:
– Administrative duties
– Deck Crew training and supervision
– Safety drills / procedures
– Navigational passage planning for the yacht
– Watch schedules and staff rotations
– Managing and adhering to deck budgets
– Stowage of Yacht for sea
